The Portuguese Societies of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics have set up in 1991 a common
action for creating, producing and distributing software for learning Science and Mathematics,
specially at the secondary schools level. The project goes under the name of "Soft Sciences", with the obvious intention of making somewhat "softer" the so-called "hard" sciences. The Ministry for Education and, more recently, the new Ministry for Science and Technology has been supporting this program.
Recently, all the programs, together with Web pages with abundant teaching and learning resources
on Physics and Mathematics, were brought together inside a CD-ROM, with the suggestive name
