Unlike other records that of javelin has not been continuously increasing due to the fact that new regulations have changed the projectile characteristics... THROW IT! Is a twodimensional simulation of the motion of a javelin under the forces of gravity and air resistance, this being proportional to the square of the velocity (this problem does not have an analytical solution). Simple graphs of position and velocity are available as well as representations of the velocity and acceleration vectors. The scenarios may be a stadium on the Earth, a crater field on the Moon and even the surface of Jupiter (not a very realistic sports ground...). This program includes a rudimentary version in «Basic» with some help for students to develop some initial programming skills.
